John Douglas Jueckstock Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Douglas Jueckstock of Taylors, South Carolina, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 15, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenaire Frederick and Helen Dell Jueckstock; his sister Judy Olsen; his brother-in-law Doug Hartson; and his wife Judy Josephine.
He is survived by: his siblings, Glenna Goforth (Giles), George Jueckstock (Peggy) and Elisabeth Hartson; his son Jordan Philip; his daughter-in-law Jessica Esther; and his grandchildren, John David, Josephine Kay, Jadyn Marie and Jedidiah LaRoy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
His dissertation, The Complete Works of Jeremias Dencke, garnered effusive praise from the director of the Moravian Music Foundation, who declared: "No finer musicological research has ever been done in the field of Moravian music.".
