He is survived by: his sons, Trevor Barton (Robin) of Greenville, Trent Barton (Justine) of West Columbia and Tyler Barton (Dawn) of Blythewood; his sister-in-law Debbie Barton of Taylors; and his grandchildren, Ethan Barton (Taylor), Laura Barton, Bakary Barton, Ezekiel Barton, Van Barton and Maggie Barton.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the Taylors First Baptist Church (200 W Main St, Taylors, SC 29687). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
