He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Wells and Olive Marie Fielder Wells; his son James Daugherty; and his siblings, Bill Wells and Becky Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald Wells, Jeffrey Wells, Eugenia Wells, Phyllis Ritter of Fountain Inn, Joanne Bourgieos of Louisiana and Sherry Lyons of Pennsylvania; and his sisters, Shirley Duberry of Rockton, IL, Sharon Moore of Malden, MO and Marie Adams of Rockford, IL.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
