He was predeceased by: his wife Jewel Dempsey; his brother Jerry Dempsey; and his grandson Bryson Dempsey. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Mishoe of Charlotte, NC; his son Mike Dempsey (Carol); his grandson Lee (Gaby); his great grandchildren, Luke, Jack and Charleston; his daughter Allison; his great grandchildren, Liam and Connor; his sons, Rick Dempsey (Beverly) and Phil Dempsey (Kimberly); and his grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler and Kylie (Ellison Rourke).
