It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Georgia Willis Heard Bennett of Taylors, South Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus Heard and Fannie Marshall Heard; and her spouse Eustace Edward Bennett. She is survived by: her children, Spencer Bennett (Sharon) of Taylors, SC and Pamela Askew (Curtis) of Greenville, SC. She is also survived by five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

“Fifty-three years ago, Mrs. Bennett came to Taylors Elementary School to teach first grade. That fall our Michael began his school year with Mrs. Bennett. Three years later our Christopher was in Mrs. Bennett's class. She was a wonderful teacher. Her love for the children in her care was always evident, her gift as an educator was one we were thankful for every day. Mrs. Bennett made the world a better place.. Our prayers are with the family.
