She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Bigham, Sr. and Roxie Vaughn Bigham. She is survived by: her husband Harry Mansfield; her children, Marie Carter (Ray) and Ricky Mansfield (Susan); her grandchildren, James Bennefield (Kacie), Laura Bennefield, Grace Durham (Randall), Lindsey Mansfield and Blake Mansfield (Miranda); and her great grandchildren, Landon Harris, Kailee McIlhenney, Krysta Bennefield, Lainey Mansfield, Lucy Mansfield, Cyrus Mansfield, Samantha Durham and James Durham III. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Doris was honorarily inducted into the Furman Athletics Hall of Fame for her contributions to the scholarship program.
