She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Rickert Franklin Shirley; her sons, Jason Shirley of Greenville and Allen Shirley (Kate) of Mooresville; her siblings, Tom Hill (Diana) of Sebastian, Florida and Muriel Hill-Rowley (Glen) of Easley; and her grandchildren, Carson Shirley of Joanna, Anna Shirley and Luke Shirley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hampton Heights Baptist Church, 2511 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, South Carolina 29615.
