He was predeceased by: his parents, Abe Hindman and Grace Christopher Hindman; his wife Deborah Foster Hindman; and his son Carroll Justin Hindman. He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Hindman Bullard (Barry) of Kingwood Texas; his granddaughter Hannah Bullard of Kingwood Texas; his siblings, Sarah Hindman Dixon of Sumter, SC, Geraldine Hindman Cox (Sam) of Greer, SC and Robert Hindman of Taylors, SC; and his close friend Linda Ward Wood of Greer, SC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
