It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip F. Roland of Swansea, South Carolina, born in Lexington, South Carolina, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, L. C. "Cowboy" Roland and Rosa Lee "Long" Roland; and his siblings, Sylvia Smith, Derrell Lee Roland and Joseph Wayne Roland.

He is survived by: his son Phil Roland, Jr. (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Gracie Roland, Jase Roland, Alyson Harden, Kinsey Harden and Jake Harden; and his sister Francine Roland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Longridge, P.O. Box 220, Ridgeway, S. C. 29130 or Swansea First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 550, Swansea, S. C. 29160.

“I was a long time friend of Phillips, Big Daddy. There are many wonderful fond memories from My association with Big Daddy over 30 plus years. Everyone always enjoyed being around him with his jovial personality and continuously Playing the jokester. His contributions physically, monetarily and pray fully supported Camp Longridge and it’s ministry to young people since it’s conception thirty plus years ago, He will be missed his presence lighting up the room and a blessing to all.”
