He is survived by: his wife Barbara Goodwin Barrs; his son John David Barrs; his grandsons, Tony Goodwin (Cristy) and James "Coot" Yon (Peggy); his daughters, Pam Herlong (Royce), Christina Skipper and Melissa Skipper; and his nephew Billy Ray Skipper, Jr. (Kristen).
