He is survived by: his children, Mary Sue Peele (James) and Jewell DeLaine Buff (Kenny); his grandchildren, Lorene Peele (Brandon Little), Leila Rankin, James "Bud" Peele, Jr. (Jessica), Danni Still (Morgan), Tyler Hill (Melissa), Madison Bryant and Katie Ann Roberts; his great grandchildren, Connley Peele, Khloe Stroud, Allison Stroud, Emberleigh Little, Nora Rankin, Lilly Rankin and Waylon Still; his siblings, Mickel "Mike" Sturkie, Sr. (Shirley), Timothy "Timmy" Sturkie, Sr. (Brenda) and Connie Elrod (Gene); his in-laws, Fayez Fares, Mark Chavis (Camilla) and Deirdre Chavis; his close friends, Mitch Hook, Sam Shumpert, John Williams, Brett, Price and Brown; and his pets, ReRe, Nubs and Marlee.
