He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Mae Harrison and Emmett Granville Furtick; his former wife Miriam Furtick; his stepfather Louie Brazell; his siblings, Marvin "Louis" Friendly, Jimmy Brazell, Vinalee Barefoot and Shelba Brazell Delgado; and his foster sister Linda Spires Webber (Brenda Kay Spires Tindal).
He is survived by: his former wife Miriam Harrison; his son Chuck; his wife Janie Delorise Spires Harrison; his children, Norman Harrison (Lynn) of Charlotte, N. C., Charles Harrison (Anne) of Elgin, Janet Casselman (Ron) of Santee, Lindsey Smith (Debra) of Cayce, Ritchie Smith (Shannon) of Lexington and Donna Vivod (Steve) of Pine Ridge; and his sisters, Betty Huckabee of Florella, Barbara Campbell of West Columbia, Mary Alice Banfield of San Antonio, Nancy Smoak of Orangeburg and S. C. Mr (Harrison). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
