He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Leahy Sr. and Mary Wright Besser; his wife Kathleen Leahy; his sons, Robert and Jay Leahy; his sister Catherine Mangano; and his great grandchild Alexander.
He is survived by: his children, William J. Leahy III (Adrian) and Susan Boult (Jim); and his sister Linda Levine (Jerry). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial contribution be made to the VFW Post 10420, 4359 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
