With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Jackson of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, born in Dillon, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 26, 2024 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Jackson and Annie Jackson; his daughter Jackie Jackson; his nephew Jimmy Jackson Jr.; and his siblings, Ruthie Hyatt, Mildred Wethington, Betty Hood, Dottie Summerford, Frank Jr. and L. H. Jackson.

He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Jackson of Surfside Beach; his children, Larry Jackson of Charleston, SC, Kay Westfall of Gilbert, SC and Teresa McKellar (Peter) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his grandchildren, Charlie Hobson, Katie Jackson, Billy Jackson, Christina Kennedy (Steven), Gibson Westfall, Grace McKellar, Julia McKellar, Alex McKellar, Andrew McKellar and Rebecca Williams (Josh); and his brother Jim Jackson (Jeanette) of Winston Salem, NC.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; four great-grandchildren.
