He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert H. Trudeau and Elizabeth Dempsey Trudeau; his brothers, Robert Trudeau and Gary Trudeau; his wife Christina Penhale Trudeau; his daughters, Jessica Trudeau and Kaitlin Trudeau Corrigan; his son-in-law Kevin Barry Corrigan; and his grandchildren, Ronan Corrigan (Emmett Corrigan) and Lily (Bella).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in loving memory of Richard E. Trudeau.
