With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phillip Ammons of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, born in Sparta, North Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2023 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Charles Milton Ammons; and his sister Wanda Darlene Ammons. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Hutcherson Ammons; his mother Lois Welch; his stepfather Ric Welch; and his siblings, John Ammons, Tom Ammons (Jessica) and Staci Ashurov (Idimad). He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 595 S. Peace Haven Rd, Winston-Salem NC 27103.
