It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Meriwether of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, born in Guthrie, Kentucky, who passed away on July 29, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis W. Meriwether and Laura Bell Killabrew Meriwether; and his sister Daisy Bonnafon. He is survived by: his wife Marie Meriwether of Surfside Beach; his children, Robert Meriwether of Kokomo, IN, Joe Meriwether (Krista) of Conway, SC and Gawana Meriwether of Kokomo, IN; his siblings, Dorothy Stevenson (Edna Meriwether), April Neal, Elaine Lawson, Darlene Nevels (Carlett Rogers) and Ellis Meriwether; and his grandson Joe Earl Meriwether, III.
