With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Edward Smith Jr. of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, born in Seneca, South Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Smith and Helen Smith; his wife Marlene Smith of Surfside Beach; and his brother Woody Smith of Seneca, SC.. He is survived by: his daughter Stacy Smith; his sisters-in-law, Kay Smith of Seneca, SC, Camilla Ellis of Louisville, KY and Linda Chenier (Billy Wayne) of Chadbourn, NC; his nephew Chad Smith (Devon) of Seneca, SC; and his nieces, Ginger Stevenson (Andy) of Anderson, SC, Shannon Sermersheim (Tony) and Kelli Ellis of Louisville, KY.
