He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Silva and Maria Silva; his wife Maria; and his siblings, Albert, Eddie, Cesar, Connie, Alphonso and Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, James J. Silva, Joseph A. Silva (Judy) of Fayetteville, Georgia and Kathleen E. Silva (Melissa) of Candler; and his siblings, Frank "Chico" Silva of Florida and Virginia Mendes. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
