It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barry Philip Gelman of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, born in Suffern, New York, who passed away on January 26, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar "Arthur" Gelman and Minnie Labotsky Gelman; and his sister Deborah Gelman. He is survived by: his wife Susan Gelman of Surfside Beach; his children, Kurt Gelman (Lea) of St. Joseph, MO, Danna Gelman Dilworth (Michael) of Fountain, MI and Michele Gelman Fisher (Ethan) of Gifu, Japan; his grandchildren, Elise, Isaiah, Ari, Zion, Davin, Benjamin, Nathan and Aiden; his niece Lisa Lefkowitz (Charles) of New York; and his nephew Scott Finklestein (Casandra) of California.

Barry was proud of his Jewish heritage as well as his finding Jesus, his Messiah. We cherish the many camping trips, church socials and celebrating our children’s milestones with the Gelman family.”
