It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Coutsos Kirby of Surfside Beach, South Carolina, who passed away on June 16, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Coutsos and Frances Keen; her husband Col. Robert M. Kirby; and her siblings, Ruth Gann, Olga Grimsley, Froshene Ross, Helen Wilson, Penelope Tucker, George Coutsos, John Coutsos, William Coutsos and Gus Coutsos.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara K. Smith and Robert M. Kirby, Jr.; her grandchildren, Caroline Smith (Bernie), Carlisle Smith (Sally) and Blythe Emens (Trent); her great grandchildren, Kinley Warlick, Layken Spigner, Caden Smith, Austin Pelfrey, Ellison Emens and Erskine Emens; and her brother James Coutsos.
