It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilhelmenia Dean (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas W. Dean (Hallie Miller Atkinson) and Wilhelmenia Atkinson Dean; her husband Dr. Elmer J. Dean; and her siblings, Thomas Jr., David, Marion Atkinson, Harriet Alston, Thomasina Johnson, Vermelle Keith, Hallie Singleton and Sylvia Loney. She is also survived by two Goddaughters', a Godson, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She also worked with the NAACP, the Historic Savannah Foundation, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and Charter Archousa of Alpha Mu Boule' and Alpha Lambda Boule'.
