With solemn reverence, we commemorate Virginia Ayers Rewis (Sumter, South Carolina), whose life came to an end on April 24, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Thomas Rewis; and her parents, John Wesly Ayers and Ethel Lee Randolph Ayers. She is survived by: her sons, Delmas E. McLeod and Edward W. Rewis (Tonya) of Sumter; her stepdaughters, Robin Renay Garrett of Savannah, GA and Dana Cheri Huten (Arnaud) of Nantes, France; her grandchildren, Daniel, Kennedy, Madison and Reagan Rewis; and her siblings, Sarah Jane Gurley of Burnsville, NC and Kyle David Ayers (Brenda) of Green Mountain, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses (100 Lynam Rd, Sumter, SC 29154).
