She was predeceased by: her husband William Heyward Brown; her parents, Orby James Ferguson, Sr. and Syrena Webb Ferguson; and her brother Leon Ferguson (Hala). She is survived by: her children, Heyward Glenn Brown (Sabra) of Pleasant Grove, William Stanley Brown (Betsy) of Sumter, Judith Brown McLeod of Pawleys Island and Donna Brown Knopf (Kelly) of Sumter; her grandchildren, Kim Johnston (Bubba), Heyward Brown (Carolyn), Barbie Coker (Tracy), Sara Anderson (Walt), Becki McLeod, William McLeod (Jill), Ashleigh Sommerville (Erik), Meagan Trezza (Mike), Kell Knopf (Jenny) and Syrena Worley (Kevin); and her brother Orby James Ferguson, Jr. (Gail). She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (802 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150).
