It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Lindell Rogers (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sister Caronda Rogers; his grandparents, Inez Hollman, Hosea Brisbon and Tallie Rogers (Lillie); his uncles, Alexander Brisbon, Timmie Rogers and Harold Rogers; and his aunt Hattie Woodall.
He is survived by: his parents, Roy Rogers and Carolyn Brisbon Rogers; his sisters, Yolanda and Shakali Rogers of Sumter; his nieces and nephews, Kendall Kyleek, Kendall Marquel, Kanya of Sumter, Garia of Sumter, Jaleah of Sumter and Journee of Sumter; and his aunts, Lacresia Chernak of New York, Marie Rogers, Lillie Johnson (Johnny), Dianne Pauley (Hersyl), Carol Major (Lincoln), Debra Smith (Harrison) of Sumter and Essie Julius (Thomas) of Irvington.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whites Mortuary (517 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mt Olive AME Church (2738 Woodrow Rd, Sumter, SC 29153). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at the Colclough Family Cemetery.
