He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Leonard Evans and Dorothy Shepler Evans; his wife Barbara Brogdon Evans; his son Shane Evans; and his siblings, Jo Ellen Thauls, Marilyn Cole and Gene Evans.
He is survived by: his daughter Shi Spittle (Scott) of Sumter; his grandsons, Brandon Spittle (Tolley) of Sumter and Bryce Spittle of Sumter; his stepchildren, Vikki Brogdon of Manning, Jack Brogdon of Sacramento, CA and Katherine Rambo (Grae) of Mt. Pleasant; his stepgrandchildren, John Michael Parimuha (Laura) of Manning, J. R. Parimuha (Samantha) of Manning, Lisa Gebhard of Manning, Graham Rambo (Lindsey) of Mt. Pleasant, Jake Rambo (Sharon) of Mt. Pleasant and Caroline Jackson (Grant) of Mt. Pleasant; his sister Charlotte Sippel; his nephews, Rocky and Randy; his brother Bill Evans (Jane); his nieces, Laura and Molly; his nephew Larry Conover; and his close friend Steve Berry. He is also survived by fifteen step great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Home of Scott & SHI Spittle (1205 Tickleweed Ln, Sumter, SC 29150).
