He is survived by: his parent Ruth Ann Barrett Floyd; his children, Sumter, Michael Shane Floyd, Justin Henry Floyd, Austin Floyd, Gauge Floyd, Mayhala Anderson and Jesse Floyd; and his brother Charles Edward "Eddie" Floyd.
