With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melvin Arnold Curtis (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Mobile, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Francis Curtis and Mavis Skipper Curtis; his sister Debbie Crigler; and his brother-in-law Ronnie McRae. He is survived by: his wife Rosanna Virginia "Jenny" White Curtis; his daughters, Kimberly Curtis Geddings of Sumter, Brandi Curtis Jackson (Clint) of Sumter and Laura Curtis of Sumter; his grandson Curt Jackson; his siblings, Donnie Curtis (Sonja) of Mobile, AL, Gus Lea (Olga) of Houston, TX, Mary Schuerman (Sherm) of Spanish Fort, AL and Alice McRae of Mobile; and his brother-in-law Gary Crigler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
