He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Thigpen and Doris Dennis Thigpen. He is survived by: his children, Katelynn Thigpen (Corey), Rebecca Morris (Horace) and Swane Collette (Hannah); his grandchildren, Bentley Cecil, Corey Jr., Paisley'Ann Faye, Carson, Levi, Katie and Skeeter; and his sisters, Deborah Nesbitt (Bobby), Joann Thigpen, Janice Anderson and Marie McConnell (Robert).

A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Wells Cemetery.
