Though Jimmie may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jimmie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Grant Jr. and Matilda Jefferson Grant; and his brothers, Joseph Grant and Harold Grant. He is survived by: his sisters, Irene "Red" Stewart (Paul), Juanita Jones (Willie), Tracy "Pete" Tiller (Frank), Myrt Williams (Henry) and Ruby "Dee" Deschamp (John). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Palmer Memorial Chapel (304 S Main St, Sumter, SC 29150).
