He is survived by: his children, Jennie McKenzie of Sumter, Kristen Barker, Charlie Austin (Lynn) of Kingstree and Troy Austin (Leslie) of Turbeville; his grandchildren, John Wesley McKenzie, Jr., Danielle Austin, Sierra Bleakley and Neeley Austin; his great grandchildren, Oliver James McKenzie and Ra'mon Bleakley; his sisters, Judy Prescott and Maxine Kyle; his grandchildren, Shyana, Natalee, Ryder and Aleeah McLeod; and his caregiver Sonya Brooks.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery (802 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150).
