He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Willard Ardis and Willie Nevlyn Hurst Ardis. He is survived by: his spouses, Mary Hendrix Ardis and Pinewood; his son James Henry Ardis, Jr. of Sumter; his grandchildren, James H. and Kattie Ardis Hendrix; his great grandchildren, Layla Mae Brinson and Harlyn Sue Ardis; and his sisters, Beverly Owens of Moncks Corner and Helen Joy of Bonneau.
