She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas W. Tobar, Jr.; her parents, Raymond Thomas Marsh and Corine Gainey Marsh; and her brothers, J. M. Gainey, Lee Marsh, Gene Marsh, Marion Marsh and Heyward Marsh.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Etta Dennis of Sumter, Walter Michael Dennis (Kathy) of Sumter, Cindy Dennis Fricker of Sumter, David Lee Dennis, Sr. (Deborah) of Rembert and Crystal "Red" Hodge of Manning. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
