He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Chapman and Ruth Crawford Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Sarah "Bobbie" Taylor Self; and his children, Douglas Self and Donna E. Self Snyder (Mark). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
