With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Louise Bedard (Sumter, South Carolina), who passed away on April 26, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Geraldine departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Geraldine may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Geraldine leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Oliver Joseph Bedard, Sr.; her parent Marion Curtis Jenson; and her sister Donna Bren. She is survived by: her children, Robert Bedard (Lisa), Oliver Bedard (Destiny) and Laura Smith (Ron); and her siblings, Ernest Fain, Peter Jensen and Virgina Boutot. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
