She was predeceased by: her parent Charlie; her son Harrison Sumpter; and her siblings, Mary Billie and Charlie Sumpter. She is survived by: her children, Angeniller McDuffie (Demetrius), Georgia Davis (Larry), Vicky McKenize (Freddie) and Tyrone Sumpter (Nikki); and her siblings, Josh Sumpter (Geneva), Herbert Sumpter (Beatrica), Robert Sumpter (Linda), Hattie Mae McKenzie (Willie) and Jessie Galloway. She is also survived by grandchildren, forty (40) great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
