He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Leslie Fobes and Josephine May Derr Fobes; and his stepchildren, James William "Bill" Moree and Barbara Ellen Smith. He is survived by: his wife Frances Elizabeth Mobley Fobes; his children, Amy Rochelle Fobes and Mark Fobes; his stepdaughters, Elizabeth Ann Markley and Carolyn Sue Moree; his grandchildren, Brett, Laura, Tiffany, Amanda, Amey, Frankie, Nancy, Chrystal, Gwen, Vickie, Daniel and Barbara Ann; and his brother Jack Fobes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home (515 Miller Rd, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Church of the Ascension Cemetery (5190 N Kings Hwy, Rembert, SC 29128).
