We bid farewell to Eugene Perry Rhiner (Sumter, South Carolina), born in Godwin, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 2, 2024 at the age of 89. Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Franklin Rhiner and Bela Beasley Rhiner; his siblings, Gilbert Rhiner, W. H. Rhiner and Doris Butler; and his stepson Wayne Outlaw.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Sweat (Richard) of St. Helena Island and Gina Hoover (Heath) of Sumter; his stepdaughter Betty Esch (Dennis) of Myrtle Beach; his grandchildren, Kim Gilbert (Dave), Charleen Harroff (Jody) and Cody Hoover; his great grandchildren, Emily Barker, Caleb Harroff, Cameron Gilbert and Christopher Gilbert; and his sister Shirley Grillo of Godwin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
