He was predeceased by: his parents, Paskell Woodward Boykin and Bernice Lowery Boykin; his sisters, Linda Juanita Whitaker and Darlene Boykin Timmons; his sister-in-law Gayle Boykin; and his daughter-in-law Renee W. Boykin.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Edward Boykin (Sandra Beck) of Bishopville, Christopher Edward Boykin (Randy Harper) of Charleston and Lori Anne Coley of Sumter; his siblings, Avery Woodward Boykin of Sumter and Debbie Anderson (Terry) of Sumter; his grandchildren, Serena Boykin Buss (Michael), Brandi Elizabeth Coley, Brandon Alan Coley and Samantha Mae Boykin (Barbara); his great grandchildren, Madelyn Buss, Amelia Buss, Ryan Buss, Maddox Coley and Riley Boykin; and his close friend Marian Willette. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home (221 Broad St, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Westside Baptist Church (554 Pinewood Rd, Sumter, SC 29154).
