Earline T. Pearson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Earline T. Pearson of Sumter, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Almeta Gregg Toney and Joseph W. Toney; and her siblings, Thelma Toney Slater, Harold, Willie James "Hickline" Toney, Doreatha Toney Gee, Ola Mae Toney Grooms and Elizabeth Toney Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband George Pearson; her son Gerald G. Pearson of Columbia, SC; her grandchildren, Aeriel Tenley Pearson of New York City, NY and Aaron Gerard Pearson of Columbus, Ohio; her brother William M. Toney (Linda) of Blythewood, SC; and her sister-in-law Rosa Pearson Addison (Henry) of Bishopville, SC. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home - Sumter (353 Manning Ave, Sumter, SC 29150). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the New Zion AME Church (78 Elliott Hwy, Bishopville, SC 29010).
Because of challenging health issues which prevented regular church attendance, Earline never wavered in seeing that her monthly contributions to the church continued.
