She is survived by: her parents, Jake Sanders Sr. and Dorethia Kelley Sanders; her husband John Walter Spann; her daughters, Bridget Spann (Cleveland) of Sumter, Christal Spann of Charlotte, NC, Johnetta Spann of Columbia and Jennifer Hemingway (Wayne) of Sumter; her grandchildren, Cleveland Adrian-Izayah Davis, Jaydan Davis, Jada Johnson, Jazzmin Brown, Cecelia Hemingway, John Hemingway and Cierra Hemingway; her great grandchild Ka'Moni Williams; her siblings, Larry Sanders (Minnie) of Sumter, SC, Jake Sanders Jr. (Valerie) of Sumter, SC, Shirley Harris of Sumter, Deborah Choice of Sumter, Marchel Canty (Kenneth) of Sumter, Williemae Graham of Sumter and Geraldine Worth (John) of St. Louis, MO; her aunts, Marie Jackson of Sumter, Connie Jackson of Baltimore, MD, Annie Mae Ludd and Sarah Pugh of Orlando, FL; and her goddaughter Tonya Mack-Canty. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friend.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation from 3:00 – 7:00 p. m. at the home, 1475 Florence Highway, Sumter.
Dieanne was the founder of the Dieanne S. Spann Foundation where she ministered and aided for the elderly in her community for several years.
