He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Richard Griffin and Betty Jean Jennings Griffin; and his siblings, Nancy Griffin and Cale Griffin. He is survived by: his children, Brandi Huggins (Scotty) and Russell "Rusty" Geddings (Ashley); his brothers, Melvin L. Griffin of Sumter and Danny R. Griffin (Ginger) of Sumter; his grandchildren, D. J. McLeod, Kaitlyn McLeod and Kinleigh Huggins; and his great grandchild Mallory Caples.
