He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Willis and Lucille Simmons Willis; his wife Carolyn Fields; and his brothers, Herbert Willis and Samuel Willis.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Willis, Carl Willis (Roberta), Artie Willis, Kevin Willis (Denitque), Gentry Willis and Margie Willis; his sisters, Jessie Moore (late Willie Moore) and Viola Aiken (Charles); and his caregiver Lynn Gerken. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.
