He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Watson Cushing and Jean Ann Yoccodine; his wife Diane Elizabeth Cushing; and his sister Mary Berres. He is survived by: his pet Teddy; his daughters, Debra Wagner (Ned), Karen Cushing Jones (Joe) and Patricia Curry (John); his grandchildren, Robert, Amanda, Austin, Brooke, Cody, Lauren and Kristen; his great grandchildren, Harper, Oaklyn, Blakely of Lily, AJ and Bodi; his sister Evelyn Fornale; and also Chad Curry.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home (303 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel (303 S Main St, Summerville, SC 29483). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at the Dorchester Memory Gardens (11000 Dorchester Rd, Summerville, SC 29485).
