It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarite German of Summerville, South Carolina, born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 17, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Zavatsky and Helen Gurka Zavatsky; and her siblings, Lovey Kuhl and John Zavatsky. She is survived by: her children, Deborah Firestone (Carl) of Moncks Corner, SC and Chris German (Claire) of Rockville, MD; her grandchildren, Rachel German, Zachary Firestone, Joshua German, Timothy Firestone, Melanie Firestone, Caleb German and Caroline German; her sisters, Mary Rodzon and Elain Gayman (Jim); and her nieces and nephews, Raymond Kuhl, Lovie Welsh, Fred Hauer, Wayne Hauer, Andrea Pavone, Chuck Zavatsky, Bruce Zavatsky, Phillip Rodzon, John Rodzon and Marlene Weston.
