She was predeceased by: her great-grandparent Muriel Christina Garbutt of Stan Creek, Belize; her grandmothers, Amy Garbutt of Ocala, FL and Doris Alcoser of New York, NY; and her aunt Deanie Carelock of New York, NY.. She is survived by: her husband Paul M. Helms, Jr. of Summerville, SC; her daughter Arabella Christina Helms of Summerville, SC; her parents, Federico Smith and Lorraine Smith of Progresso, Belize; her siblings, Lori Nealy of Jacksonville, FL, Lynnetta Alston of Summerville, SC, Fred Smith of San Antonio, TX and Kevin Smith of Groton, CT; her niece Jessica Fabry of Auburn, AL; and her nephews, Devon Smith of Summerville, SC, Jonathan Fabry of Jacksonville, FL, Aiden Roberts (Ana Smith), Anthony Smith, Miles Smith and Piearce Alston.
