With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kaye Patterson Wren of Summerville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Mary Elizabeth "Beth" Wren of Summerville, SC; and her parents, Hugh Patterson and Elizabeth Whelchel Patterson of Gaffney, SC.. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Wren (Teresa) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Clary Wren Vance (Todd) of Jupiter, Florida; her grandchildren, Chloe Elizabeth Wren, Cille Patterson Wren, John Joseph Vance (J. J.), Lilly-Kaye Vance, Wren Margaret Vance and Georgia Mae Vance; and her brothers, Myron Patterson (Linda) of Spartanburg, SC and Barry Patterson (Madge) of Greenville, SC..
The inurnment will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Midway Baptist Church (153 Midway Rd, Gaffney, SC 29341). Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Summerville Baptist Church (417 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dr. Joe and Kaye Wren Endowed Scholarship at Charleston Southern University or to Summerville Baptist Church.
