He was predeceased by: his parents, John Daniel Bass and Eula May Casey Bass; and his grandsons, Christopher Michael Grooms and Anthony Wayne Paul. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Elizabeth; his daughters, Debra Bourgeois, Sandra Bass and Elizabeth Carroll; and his stepdaughter Joyce Thomas. He is also survived by grandchildren; 17 beloved great grandchildren; as well as 3 great-great grandchildren.
