We are sad to announce that on September 16, 2024, Jim Gilbert of Summerville, South Carolina, born in Portsmouth, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Jim shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jim farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Curtis Gilbert and Inez Reynolds Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean; his daughter Jennifer Catherine Hoffmann (Matthew) of Shalimar, FL; his grandson Brendan James Hoffmann; his daughter Dianne Marie Lang (Michael); his grandson Connor Michael Lang of Charleston, SC; his sister Ann Howard of Chesapeake, VA; and his pet Bailey.
