He was predeceased by: his parents, Wheeler Sweat and Ida Bunch Sweat; and his siblings, Morris, Johnny, Raymond Sweat and Hattie Jameson.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Tumbleston Sweat of Summerville, SC; his sons, George K. Sweat, Jr. (Joanne) of Cottageville, SC and Craig T. Sweat (Dee) of Eutawville, SC; his sister-in-law Theresa Mazell (Allen); his grandchildren, Lacey Sweat of Eutawville, SC, Chase Sweat (Hannah) of Summerville, SC and Heather Hammock (Chris); and his great grandchild Wyatt Sweat.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Parks Funeral Home (130 W 1st N St, Summerville, SC 29483).
